Here we go again, this just in:

During the recent IDC and IDO Fire Prevention Committee meetings, (during Feb District Council meeting), the DC member from Lamma strongly suggested widening the road to allow fire engines and other vehicles for emergency use. She urged the government to ignore comments from Green Groups (during Feb DC meeting), saying that they were blocking the general views of the local people.

I'm awaiting confirmation of details, but this is apparently our glorious leader Yu Lai Fan proposing to go ahead with the original "Ring Road" scheme.
