Sponsored bus tour for Lammaites. Great value as everything, even lunch, is included for only $80. Starting from Sok Kwu Wan or Central Ferry Pier 4. All Lammaites welcome, but if your Cantonese is not fluent you might need a fluent companion. Register in Rural Council, Sok Kwu Wan, 1st Back Street, B2, tel. 2982 8513. I've done a few of these tours years ago with Lamma-Por. We've seen touristic parts of HK we've never explored before, together with neighbours and new local acquaintances.

Yuen Long somewhere, I think. Besides lunch there might be some food shopping involved and a huge shopping mall is often part of the trip, last stop, for the Lammaites feeling severely deprived of shopping malls on our island. Ask Candy for details, as I only got a quick summary from Lamma-Por who's not eager anymore these days to attend these tours, they clash with her every-weekend beauty/pampering treatments... Or try the listed phone numbers, the assistants of our all our 3 Lamma-based District Council members speak English pretty well, even though their 3 bosses hardly speak a word. |
