Hey, Was thiking about the same thing. Used to do regular full moon parties on Vancouver Island and miss them sorely. BTW, May's fullmoon is on a Saturday (9th), anybody wants to do a moonlight hike or a beach party? |

Well, the last of the Full Moon parties on Power Station Beach was Feb 7/8. When I passed by on Sunday, Feb 8, afternoon, it was still going and you could hear the music all the way up to the Youth Hostel, half way to Sok Kwu Wan. These parties were pretty regular every month before, but have become less frequent these years. Ask around for the next one, usually organised on quite short notice, usually on Sat/Sun close to the Full Moon day. |

http://travelzeworld.over-blog.com/ olicombet@hotmail.com Having stayed on Lamma you should know there are infrequent parties on PS beach. But doesn't Disco Bay, which is, to quote your treacherous remark on departing from Lamma as quickly as possible a few months ago "so much better in everyway" have any beach parties? You've probably now discovered the only bohemian nightlife in DB is expat brats drinking alcopops in the square - enjoy! Cheerio |

The next FM is on the 11th (Wed), anybody knows if there will be a beach party on PS Beach around that time? Is it just me, or are lammarites a bit hostile towards DB'ers? My family's been living on DB since 1995, so I visit DB on a regular basis. I spend quite a bit of time on their beach, find their boat club people helpful and friendly, and was helped (rescued is the right word) by a yacht and her crew from the DB marina when I got into a sticky spot in Lamma channel in 2007. I hope I'm wrong about this; I love Lamma, would definitely prefer life on Lamma to DB myself, but I just can't understand this hate-DBer mentality. -Lia |

It's response to the snooty attitude some of them have. (travelzeworld.over, for example, a few months ago.) And we've periodically been visited by posters claiming to live in DB (they may not, really) who proceed to roll out a bunch of stereotypes about "dirty Lamma hippies", "my flat is worth more than yours", etc, etc. So announcing you are from DB on the forum is asking for trouble, I'm afraid, But in real life, no one will care, (unless of course you start being obnoxious in that manner) so don't worry about it. |

Geez, back off. My parents live on Disco Bay; I lived in Pak Kok by choice until I moved to Japan in 2008. Just because I have families in DB doesn't mean I have a chip on my shoulder |

Just remember that people act differently online than in real life -- fortunately, in many cases. A little illustration (NSFW). |

Is that an open invitation? When is your next rooftop party? |

Hey guys/gals, Tomorrow is full moon. Anybody knows when is the next PSB FM party? Is there one this weekend, for example? Please let me know, thanks. -Lia |
