Well, Facebook happened, killing our formerly very active forum, replacing it with dozens of specialised public and private Facebook groups. I moderate and admin quite a few of them and the activity on some of them can be very hectic, many posts per day.
Try
Lamma Island Residents (I moderate), Lamma Island Events & Happenings (I admin), Lamma Island Hong Kong (I moderate), Lamma Island Marketplace, Faster Broadband For Lamma, Lamma Island Uncensored (private, membership required), and many other FB groups and pages.
Even Lamma Birds, Lamma Snake Sightings, Lamma Mama, Lamma Artists, Pak Kok Residents, etc., all have their own specialised groups and pages.
Most Lamma restaurant and events venue has their own FB page nowadays. I'd recommend
Lamma Art Collective, Lamma Artists, and many others.
Other social media have had occasional or temporary success with Lamma/Lammaite-related pages, specifically Instagram (user lamma.gung), but nothing else worthwhile I've seen beyond individual content.
TripAdvisor and other websites have seen the same thing happening, very few Lamma updates and little new relevant content.
My
http://Lamma.com.hk home page with Lamma-zine, Events and News is still being updated, but almost no new public events happening currently.
The Links page hasn't changed much as there are almost no new Lamma-specific websites. It could be links to Facebook pages and a few other social media, but all of them are easily searchable for Lamma-related pages and ever-changing.
The Galleries page is dormant as there are so many photo galleries on my and others Facebook pages.
The Lamma-zine still gets very significant traffic from almost 100 countries, for non-Facebook users, it's just this forum here that has gone into hibernation for now, till the social media landscape is changing again.
