If Alan's advice doesn't bear fruit then you might have to consider replacing parts inside. But it's not too hard. I've brought 2 TVs back to life after they were dead (no power at all, no standby LED). One was LG, the other Samsung, but same problem, power board failure. Purchased entire replacement boards (2nd hand) from taobao.com for very little money, e.g. $300, replaced them, back to working condition.
If you open the back you'll typically see the power board and the "CPU" board for lack of a better term. The boards have part nos printed on them and you can search taobao.com for sellers of that part no.
Yes, yours might not be a power board issue, so there's a risk that you get the wrong part, but a trip to the service centre (out of warranty, with associated costs & transport) is probably out of the question, and if it didn't fix the problem then you only spent $300 or so. Or maybe get both boards if it's not too much $.
Best scenario is you know someone with a similar model that happens to have the same boards inside, who's willing to let you loose on it with a screwdriver so you can swap parts in a process of elimination. Also unlikely...!
