I admit to having a good laugh when I saw the board the first time. It's so incredibly out of place here, looks so big and fancy that it should be in an airport or somewhere similar...

Doesn't almost anybody going to the ferry know the departure time already? What next? A massive loudspeaker to count down to the departure, that can be heard all over YSW? Maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas, they might do it... :bonk:

If they'd just use that board to announce some USEFUl information, like the next big party on Lamma or the latest news on Dickstock! I'm sure bbchris wouldn't mind the board then... :lol:

Really, as the board is up now, and unlikely to come down any time soon, shouldn't we be thinking about how to make use of it for the community? Maybe the ferry company can be negotiated with?

I thought the ferry terminal was on fire when walking along the cable road last Saturday. And then realised it was just the sign with the bright green signal.

I think we can get rid of it by throwing chewing gum on it. Each of us throw one at a time and pretty soon the screen will be covered with it. hahahaha

I'd just like to remind you all that there are strict laws in Hong Kong about damaging private property and illegal computer hacking.

I suggest we all calm down and respect the right of the ferry operator to develop their service how they think best. Posting inflammatory (and possibly illegal) suggestions to websites is NOT going to help matters.
