sounds like he hasn't been let in, though. at this rate he's just going to be making desperate stops to one airport after another.

Gary was refused entry into HK. Shame - he could have played at the Wanch
and our redoubtable Nicholas could have done a review for the Lamma zine.
Imagine being an international pariah - a little bit like that film by Spielberg, 'The Terminal'.

I have seen women married at 13 in two undeveloped countries. This has been sanctified by the religious and secular ruling bodies in each country. Perhaps Gary should have married one of these girls so he could better teach them English and avoid the international condemnation.

Makes you wonder about the nature of paedophilia. Micheal Jackson obviously
could have many women and men - why children? Gary, one would imagine, would have had many opportunities for sex in the 70's and 80's. Is paedophilia genetic or environmentally caused, or the result of boredom with 'legal sex'?

What is amazing is that the ones the authorities catch are probably the tip of the iceberg. After all, it is said that many a girls first sexual experience is with their fathers. How many men are secretely titilated when they stumble or intentionally type in 'lolita', and come up with child pornography? Of course no man in his right mind would admit to this knowing that society cannot allow sexual aberation as defined by the predominant culture.

It would be horrible to think that the only thing to turn a man on was girls between 10 and 12.

I always remember being approached by a man in a trenchcoat when I was 10. He offered me a candy. I quite rightly told him to show me his dick first.

Please do not equate my ramblings as defence of Gary. I feel pity for him.

It's the beard that gets me.

Michael Jackson was innocent by the way, unless you'd prefer to dispense with the verdict and believe the accusers[/quote]

Well, there are laws, and there are the different ways that governments around the world use them. There are governments that do interdict criminals from places where they have no jurisdiction. The Israelis do it. The UK government used to do it with the IRA. Look at what the US government did to flout the law with it's policy of "rendition".

If GG were found guilty of colluding with some terrorist group to blow up the House of Parliament I am sure the response of the British authorities would have been different. In Gadd's case their efforts looked quite feeble. He should have had his passport revoked years ago.

I think the analogy between terrorism and underage sex is stretching the boundries of logic. GG has served his time and is sure to habitually look over his shoulder while reaching for the soap. His life is pretty much destroyed now and the hounds have well and truly got his scent.

Perhaps a more balanced opinion.

'Myself, for what incalculably little it's worth, I regard the appetite for pre-pubescent sexual partners more as grievous curse than wicked choice, although of course that's hardly any form of consolation to the victims.'

<<I regard the appetite for pre-pubescent sexual partners more as grievous curse than wicked choice>>

Although the article is good, that sentence is just stupid. The appetite is neither here nor there. The choice to feed the appetite is something altogether different.

"I think the analogy between terrorism and underage sex is stretching the boundries of logic."

They both, terrorists and sex offenders, ruin lives.
