Hi all, What are your favourite jogging trails on Lamma? I'm new to Lamma and have been exploring but trying to be careful about the dogs, given the incident with HKDR lady. I usually jog at night so have to stay away from trails or scary looking places... |

"Scary looking places"? Could you point some out to us, please? There are quite a few of those "scary looking places", even inside the villages, but no really DANGEROUS places anywhere I'm aware of. There are a few aggressive, free-running dogs around, mainly in an area behind Tai Peng Village, but they usually only bark and attacks are very rare. Even the Quarry is usually very safe and I've personally never met ANY dogs in there while hiking or biking in there occasionally. I'd go practically anywhere on Lamma during daylight, without any real worry about dangerous wildlife, but I don't venture outside the villages much at night, except for group bootcamps. So who could tell us more about the safety of jogging, hiking or biking alone at night? Any bad experiences? |

At Hung Shing Ye Beach, stroll previous the lender of washroom to the end of the beach, and do right, up the mountain, to the pathway. Adhere to the symptoms to Sok Kwu Wan. |

Lamma-Gung, I wouldn't be able to name one scary place in the whole HK, not to mention Lamma. I wonder if anyone could share any scary location in HK so that I could go check it out. Times Square and Lo Wu excluded. |

I was walking late one evening, without a torch, and got myself stuck on a beach between the 2 cable roads. I had made the foolish assumption that the narrow path I was following would take me to Pak Kok, but it dead ended and I was in pitch dark and couldn't see how to get back. I was wondering if I would have to spend the night on the beach. I tried yelling at passing boats for help, with no result (fortunately). So I found a stick and used it to feel my way back along the path through the forest to the open hillside and eventually got back to a beaten track and home a few hours later. Go wandering in the woods on a moonless night with no torch, phone or walking stick and you can quickly find yourself in a Blair Witch state of mind.
