Hi,

Next week, I will be on Lamma island from Monday till Friday and I'd like to camp or to stay in a hostel. I don't have my own tent, so I should rent one. Is that possible? Does anyone have a recommendation for me? I will be traveling on my own (28 years old), so I would like to stay somewhere with other people (locals or travellers doesn't matter). I like to hike and swim during my stay at Lamma. And also visit some bars. I hope anyone can help me with choosing the right accomodation!

Regards,

Liane

This list has most of the temp accommodations on Lamma that we know of.
No info on camping as people usually bring all the equipment needed from off-island.

Never heard of renting a tent here, and there are no legal camping grounds or normal hostels.
Of course, you can camp wild. Some tourists camp on Hung Shing Yeh beach, there is a shower and toilet block there. But you would have to take your tent down every day while the lifeguards are on duty.

In this weather it wouldn't be fun, aside from frequent heavy rain there are lots of mosquitoes at night.
