Post subject:  Accommodation on Lamma...

Hello,
I will be visiting HKG for a holiday in October 2003 for three weeks, and I thought it would be nice to stay on Lamma. However I cannot find anything on the Internet relating to accommodation there. I was hoping to find a HomeStay, B&B or similar, as I am not keen on hotels (and their prices!). I believe there are some adverts at the ferry terminal, but I like to plan ahead and would like to "book" something before I arrive. Any assistance would be appreciated. You can email me privately if you have something to offer.
Thanks in advance.
Paul :D

There are lots of flats rented out that are mostly used by locals who stay on weekends or holidays. The Main Street (the only street) has a bunch of shopfronts that take bookings for them. If you don't get a good offer here, just turn up. You'll have no problem, especially if it's a weekday. There are two hotels, one just above the pier, one, more expensive, at the beach, 20 minutes' walk away.

October is a good time, relatively dry and cool. Unlike now, hot, humid, and mosquito inffested.[/i]
