Well that was really worth the wait from the last New Order release- they've really changed their sound and gone for innovative- not! And you wouldn't want to watch that video twise- the sight of two anaemic virgins losing their virginity isn't something you really want to see. |

definitely sex is not the selling point. the vibe through the whole album is freaking cool n' young, so does the MV. actually i dig into their dub-remix version much more. |

The music was not bad; the subject matter so-so, I guess. But the camera work was very interesting. I wonder how they did all that smooth rotation stuff |

oh. sorry for my "Wu Sir Sir" introduction, i'm not english native, ha.... you can't squeeze any ink out of my body in whatever ways u do. just another story, as i remember when 'space odyssey 2001' released at the late of 60's - the age without any CG support. the production team built a big rolling reels and decorating it as a space-ship props for on-location shooting.....remember the scenes of space-ship rotation?! the outcome was way smoother than expected. hey, "wu sir sir" is an HK argotic and can be translate into "stupid king" ,"stupid jerk"...etc |

Headroom - you must have been reading my mind! While I was typing that post, I kept thinking about the 2001 scene where the flight attendant walked around that rotating set to deliver the tray of food. Even today it still looks as good as any CGI effects. I had heard that the same trick was played in the music video of "Dancing on the Ceiling", but that was made well after CGI became popular, so perhaps not. |

just now after watching the MTV of New Order on TV - Krafty, i login and think about to post it here and share this with others and now i realize headroom started this thread half month ago already anyway, the MV itself is nivce and warm - the music is good too, IMO. love the camera work they used in that MV well, it is a rather sexy MV and reminds me of some good memories when i was still a teenager |
