Post subject:  What happened to Lamma's Digital Deviants?

There was a music/multi-media/computer-art collective living here a few years ago, named Digital Deviants.

They created art, music CDs and CD-ROMs, for example the innovative "Gau Chat", a virtual HK tour.

Anybody know what happened to them? Some of them still living here and what are they up to these days? :?:

Post subject:  Welcome Sai!

Welcome to My Lamma, Sai!

So you're one of the survivors of the pre-dotcom era?

As a dotcom dropout myself, I remember meeting some of the Deviants in the HKTA offices...
Afterwards, I was trying to convince HKTA to distribute your great Gau Chat CD-ROM to tourists.

Unsuccessfully, I'm afraid, it was too cutting edge and not "promotional" enough for them, as they always wanted to present HK in a rosy, glowing, beautiful way only to tourists, not being interested in showing more of the true HK...

So, who are the two ex-Deviants still living on Lamma?

You're with the Digital Cutup Lounge these days?

What's happening with you guys? Anything to announce or link to from My Lamma?

Well - as far as I am aware - there are still 4 people actually involved with the projct on Lamma ... both Neil and Kumi - often to be heard beating the djembe are still there - and 2 of the graphics people - who may still want to keep thier identies a mystery !!

The gau chat release definatly was a bit too close to the knuckle forthe tourist board I think ..! Intersting tht you were involved in trying to get it used - cheers !!

Post subject:  Great video!

Just watched your music video on your site!

Great and wild stuff! The visual language, SFX and wild editing reminded me of the new fully digitally-edited (3.5 terabytes!) feature movie "Nagoyqatsi".
It's the 3rd one in the "Koyaanisqatsi" trilogy, one of my all-time Top Ten movies.
It was released in a few US cinemas two days ago. The trailer is at

Where are you guys performing next? Or you never leave the studio?
