I don't see it myself.
The ponytail/receding hairline thing is pretty common among advertising guys of a certain age.

(This is a transient hotlink, in a few days it will be a different cartoon.)

That's what I thought the second I saw the cartoon. It must be Gung! Anyway, nice to see I am in the same issue :)

Well, thanks for the comparison, quite flattering, but it's probably too much of a stretch.

I haven't worked in or for ad agencies in over 15 years, never in PR, always purely on the IT management side, when I still had full hair and no ponytail. Since 1995 I've always worked in Internet/multimedia publishing only.

And I haven't worn a tie, cuff links or suspenders since moving to Lamma 8 years ago! And I'm much slimmer now than the guy pictured!

UN-official spokesperson for HK Electric? Publishing one of their press releases occasionally, usually without any opinions added besides occasionally pulling their legs, hardly makes me a spokesperson. They've never ever put any kind of editorial pressure on the content of this website.
But, admittedly, without their modest financial support, the rest of this huge website, except this forum, could probably not survive.

This forum is separately hosted and will remain independent, free-speech and non-commercial, paid for only by myself and a single handful of private, anonymous sponsors with a yearly donation of $500. A few more sponsors would definitely be most welcome, especially from long-time forum members!

Well, let me ask Harry directly about this fun cartoon, but I'm pretty sure it's just another coincidence.

But my avatar in this forum is indeed by Harry, for a SCMP junior post cover about the Lamma Fun Day, titled "Lamma Legends", depicting and interviewing several of the Lammaites behind the Fun Day. I should get it updated as my face has changed a lot (for the worse, some say) since losing all that weight.

It's been a long time since I've updated my avatar, so I've decided to use Harry's not very flattering drawing as my new official avatar.

It might not be my portrait (still not 100% sure given Harry's sometimes inscrutable humour) but it resembles me enough to fool a number of friends who know me and that's close enough for me!

As I haven't ever worn a tie and suspenders on Lamma, I'll have to try to find a dotted tie to resemble my avatar more, plus some new, much thicker glasses! But that smirking grin in the cartoon is hard to imitate...
