My first thought was ... Oooooh lovely, when first encountering the newly refurbished ferries. (OK, it seems to be 1 ferry not ferries at the moment) All clean and fresh, and as a previous poster said, the smell of a new car.
Air con is still set to 'Arctic' though which can be uncomfortable.
I figured they were the same kind of ferries, as they 'sounded the same'. so I figured the engines/fuel were the same. But I really have no idea.
Was also happy that there wasn't a 'baby cockroach' in site... (didn't even want to think where the parents are) on the usual ferry. One afternoon I got on the back deck, and after noticing at least 50 baby roaches in the vicinity of my vision, and way too many approaching me, I went inside to the air con as I was tired of stamping my foot to keep them away. And they are still there!
Happy to see no cockroaches on the refurbished ferry! So that's a plus for me first of all.
IMHO they are just using the same engines and fuels. It's just a lot cleaner at the moment, although the 'white headrest covers' have disappeared already.
I'm hoping the difference also involved 'environmental' changes, but I really don't know.
Looking forward to more info regarding this from this site
Whoops..... sorry Tavis!!!!
You mentioned a 'New Ferry',, and I misunderstood and thought you meant a 'Newly Refurbished Ferry'.....
Haven't been on this new one yet. Looking forward to 'trying it out'.
