Can any of the Chinese readers be so kind as to tell me what the phrase "diu lay lo mo" mean? As it is bandied about everyday I presume that it is some term of endearment or some such? Thank you.

It's an endearment to one's mother and commonly used in Hong Kong among all classes. The term has been believed carried down from the matrilineal society from ancient China. Besides, It's the signature of Fortune Chan, our fisherman member.
