You can frequently see VVs taking workers to and from their worksite, but I've rarely seen more than 2-3 people on a single VV. Till today! 6 workers, including the driver. Is that a new record?

Sorry, too late to get my camera ready, maybe next time. It's illegal to take any passengers on a VV, but I wouldn't post recognisable faces or license plates of an offending VV here anyway. I'm not eager to get them into any trouble and it might make their friends angry... Blurred out, like all the Google Street Views of Lamma, maybe....

What's the most people on a single VV in motion you've ever seen?

The local VVs are really trying to set new records!

Not just for highest speed and most reckless driving, but I just saw SEVEN adult guys on a single VV today going down a very steep hill!

I couldn't believe my eyes, too late for a photo, though.

I hope our new police chief - Inspector Camas Tung - has the time to read our messages as nothing seems to be done by officers on patrol to stop such traffic offences.

From where I live, I see this offence committed everyday on the hill going up to Tai Peng Village, between 8 and 9am. These vehicles always carry numerous workers in the haulage area behind the driver.

I have been a resident on Lamma for over 20 years, and have found that it is basically a sleepy hollow without much significant crime. However, the blatant offences committed by VV drivers appear to go unnoticed, particularly in the outer areas of the village, as all I see is an officer on a bike signing a 'visit' book to show that he was there, and then riding away.

I am a retired British police officer and certainly question 'Asia's Finest' on Lamma. We need to see officers on patrol in all areas, at all times.
