Post subject:  Catering on Lamma?

A lot of people seem interested where and how to get good catering in Yung Shue Wan. Even though some local restaurants may prepare catering food on special request with enough advance warning, even deliver it, there seems to be no local place or person specialising in catering, to my knowledge.

<img src="http://crunch.com.hk/en/images/stories/foodspins2.gif" align=left hspace=10 vspace=4>I came across this company recently, not local, but they deliver almost anywhere in HK. They catered a junk trip starting at our ferry pier and the food & service were really great: SHAMROCK Catering.

They've even become an advertiser now supporting this website. They've sent me a few testimonials from their happy customers, see below.
More info on the Shamrock website

Anybody got any other recommendations for catering parties, events, birthdays,...?
narly {L_WROTE}:
I found Shamrock's contact details when trying to plan a last minute champagne breakfast. Despite only contacting them on a Thursday morning, Mark had arranged for all of the food to be prepared and ready for pickup on Friday morning - awesome service. He even came out onto the street with his cellphone to find us when we got lost.

The food went down really well with our guests, it was a breeze to work with Mark, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Shamrock again or recommending them to a friend.

Douglas {L_WROTE}:
Thanks for catering our tram party. The food was great and everybody commented on the assortment of items and sandwiches being unique, high quality, and very tasty. Thanks again for your helpful ideas regarding coffee and beverages. We'll definitely ask you to cater our next junk party as well!

Frank from Lamma {L_WROTE}:
Recently, I went on a launch trip which was catered for by the Shamrock Sandwich and Catering Company. The food was something special, with savoury pastries and finger foods that could have come from the kitchen of a five-star hotel. The grown ups and kids scoffed the lot in no time.

Centre-piece was a cake that had an e-mailed photograph reproduced in the icing that covered the top. It was as clear as the original and achieved, I understand, through computer technology. Whatever, it would be great for a birthday or anniversary.

Mark Dineley of Shamrock organised the catering for the boat trip and followed it through to the end. I’d say he is worth giving a phone call next time you are holding a party.
