Was just informed by a friend there is a new cook as of a few weeks ago. If any one knows what it is like let us know. I will go by this next week or so.

So anyone know if it's safe to go back? My last meal there was so bad I swore I wouldn't return until they got a new chef.

Chicken masala - better than average

Service - Medicore at best - which is standard for HK and Beer garden in particular

Thanks for letting us know it's safe to go back. I'd already given it a couple of tries after the Indian chef left, couldn't handle another experience like the last.

Two friends reported severe food poisoning from here on Sunday. Many people have warned me not to eat there. I definitely won't be now.

You should report a bit more of the facts if you are going to pin the blame on Beer Garden.

What did they eat? How long before onset of symptoms? What were the symptoms? How long did they last? What other foods did they share the same day?

If you did get sick from the Beergarden it is likely that many more ppl would also be reporting getting sick - it is not too likely that only two people would get food poisoning.

had a breakfast there- disgusting- eggs benedict - possibly the foulest tasting thing I've ever eaten. ice coffee was like a cup of warm tea... service was so bad you can't really call it service. oh the days of la la mamas... how i miss their cheer and lovely iced coffees...

just stick to Indian food. I was there a couple of weeks ago with 15 friends and the food we ordered was very good. Nobody reported any problem.
