I just moved into a ground floor in Po Wah Yuen, I love nature, but...an hour ago I just saw a centipede in my kitchen sink during lunch time (yuck!). I know centipede is a creature of much discussion in this forum, but can anyone share more tips to help me to get rid of (or at least reduce) these AWFUL things???? So far I have (this might be a useful list for others facing similar problems as summer approaches):
1. Screened all the windows and doors
2. Plugged all the holes in the kitchen and bathroom (sometimes I can't be bothered, and even when I do I only plug them at night [aren't they supposed to be nocturnal?]. But I just saw one crawled out of my kitchen drain in the middle of the day. I can't have the drains plugged all the times.)
3. Put up a mosquito net over my bed which I try to keep closed at all times.
4. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth in the house
I haven't poured bleach or boiling water down the drain yet. Maybe that's the trick?
Any more ideas? I can't use anything toxic (baby in the house) and can't make modifications to the drains etc. since I'm renting.
Ah, why are there so many centipedes on Lamma?!?!
