Probably nothing special for Lammaites. Midday, when walking to Tai Peng from Main Street along the Old Farmer garden I saw a large black cobra bathing in the fish pond, the one close to banana trees. It was around 1.5 m long, black; raised the hood for a moment so I am certain this was cobra. Probably huntingfor frogs and fish. All fish were crammed at the corner of the pond. The cobra was not much bothered with the traffic and people's voices on the pathway. Slowly moved into the banana trees orchard.

I wanted to make it under the topic: The wildlife dangers of living on Lamma, to contribute to drop in rent. Somehow pressed the wrong button.
Surely, this was the largest so far among those I saw on Lamma, mainly on Cable Road and dirt paths around it.

Most likely a Chinese cobra. I did see a snake near the fire station 2 weeks ago biggest snake I have seen in HK (2m long 2 inches thick) but it was getting dark, hard to I.D
