Photos from yesterday, from SheiLAP, taken on Tannery Beach below Lamma One and the DickStock Residence. Probably nets and fish left-over from a nearby fishing trawler, one of these giant-spider-lookalike boats. The ban of fishing trawlers HK-wide will come into effect by Dec 31 this year:

What a waste. it's a good thing they're banning trawling in HK waters - a pity they won't ban smaller scale fishing as well. Most of these fish must have floated back out to sea, but some are feeding the flies. Loads of rubbish also arrived on the beach this w/e - it's the rubbish season. |
