You're close, chuckm!
I many of the shots you see similar fruits in the background. I think he's bribing his insect models with rotting fruit, probably wearing a nose filter while shooting them close-up, mere centimetres away...

Nothing wrong with that, it still needs almost inhuman patience to get shots like these, one in probably several thousands he took to get this one.

I can be a patient person, but life's too short to wait for a shot like that. But he'll have the last laugh when he'll become rich and famous with his Lamma wildlife shots, winning competitions and being featured in National Geographic some day soon?

He's already become too big for the Lamma-zine, not letting me feature his copyrighted photos anymore... I know I'm not worthy...

Sorry to disappoint AB, but blind luck is closer to the mark.

I'm very interested in the microscopic flora and fauna that infest the hardened outer crust of the sun baked lamma dogs egg.
Do you think you could possibly take a few nice macro shots for me Guy?

Thanks in advance

Guy, I just gotta ask ... how do you capture these amazing shots? Do you set the camera up and sit back with a remote control just
outside the "stinger danger zone"? The image quality is perfect for web presentation.

Looks like you are able to use a fairly fast shutter speed, and I assume it's a digicam with a macro setting.

Oh damn, I forgot, it's probably a new i-Bamboozler (all the rage on Lamma, so I hear) so it just sits there by itself, watching
for just the right moment ... and then .................. Wham! . 8)

I don't know about L-G and all the other contributors, but I'm beginning to suffer from "shutter envy" :(
