Have you heard about this new "tourist attraction" in Sok Kwu Wan?
There are leaflets at the Central ferry pier and it even has a website already:

Julia {L_WROTE}:
I visited yesterday to the site and was horrified to see the large shark being kept in such small enclosure. They have a 5.5-6ft shark being kept in a pen not longer than it's own length. I have written to the SPCA to complain about this as it's totally inhumane. Additionally the guide informed me that two previous sharks that they'd kept had died. I was not surprised to hear this considering how small a holding pen the shark is kept in.
As one of the newest tourist places in Hong Kong I was horrified to see this.
By the way, the place is crap. The idea is good but at the moment needs much more thought. For 40$ I was given a tour to look at fishing nets, rods & fishing tackle (all modern), some empty whicker baskets which 'should have contained fish but was removed day before because of bad rain on Saturday', then some starfish & sea urchins (recently caught by the same fishermen who caught the shark). There is also a junk but I wasn't allowed to board it due to the 'rough seas'... and this was yesterday when the weather was beautiful! Very strange idea of a 'tourist' place.
Anybody else has been to this place already? I'm collecting input and opinions for a Lamma-zine story and will visit there in a few days.
