nice pic Alan
On a recent trip up to the Kadoorie farm I learnt that those dumb upside down bugs are "lychee stink bugs". They're always on my balcony, which makes sense as I have 3 or 4 Lychee trees opposite my flat. They're also the little buggers that lay a cluster of 13 or 14 eggs in 2 or 3 lines on your washing if you hang it out to dry. When they hatch they're the little round green things, then they turn into flatish round black bugs with a flash of red on their backs. Quite nice looking, though also dumb and easily caught and removed.
