Regularly being Google-alerted on new blog entries about Lamma, I came across this amusing entry, reflecting what most HK people seem to think about living here and what keeps them away;

"But if you live on Lamma Island, you might start encountering more unsavory species, such as giant spiders (crawling through your 3rd floor window), or gravity-defying mosquitoes."

That's why we have screens on our windows, keeping all these critters outside, duh!

Or this entry from another blog:

"1 of the days we went to Lamma Island ! Soooooo peaceful so nice ! :> But alof of big dogs! Bigger then me leh, so horrible. Scaredie me -.- There's a beach there too :) Alot of nice flowers also, wna live there when i grow old ! Save money build ville there now! HA HA ! ^^"
