Weather turned cold today with very bad light..... despite this had 74 thrush visits to the pond between 07:30 & 12:00

There is nothing more comical than a wet bird. I am glad he/she found a nice snack after looking so ridiculous. Even though it is so common, this is one of my favorite birds in HK. Great pics!

Seems there are two of them around as I hear them calling to one another.
Are constant visitors to the pond area, drinking & occasionally bathing.
Whenever they visit, the very territorial female Magpie Robin & any other thrushes make a quick exit.

Thinking, meditating, watching? Or just a stiff neck?

Thanks! So majestic, and in seconds he/she will look like a drowned rat. Great photo. You are lucky to have them so close to your house.

Probably eye-balling that hole in your shirt.

Ouch! I know you are all jealous of my designer grunge gardening outfits specially imported from Milan. Maybe I'll have to start dressing down to maintain harmony in the community.

Maintaining harmony and being a caring gardener would make us all happy. Sorry Guy, back to the whistling thrushes!

I guess I wouldn't be welcome in the community garden.... my Lamma garb is way below par..
In the meantime..... have 2 of these Blue Whistling Thrush hanging out in the garden....
