Only 2 votes in 4 days? :(
The Village Idiot poll got 50 (!) votes!

Maybe I should put up a (hopefully more popular) poll about which story you hated most?

It seems that there are few threads based on congratulating good works, but those full of libel, abuse and obscenities are most popular.

Anyway, I voted for the Hunter's Beach story, but found the Lammadonna interview interesting, but very depressing. She basically states that unless you are native born you have no rights at all here. Also I think it's rather corrupt that she has, apparently, taken over delivery of pensions, making the recipients feel indebted to her for something she has nothing to do with. Thus the big turn out of seniors for her. Why doesn't the govt just mail cheques or direct deposit?

Post subject:  Who to interview?

Sorry, Alan, I've got no answers for you on this one, as we couldn't get into much detail due to language and translation difficulties.

Who would the Lamma-zine readers like to see interviewed in future issues? I'm trying to make the interview a regular monthly feature, like the long-running "Artist of the Month"...

Post subject:  Surprise!

Something quite surprising, even frightening just happened today on Main Street:

Lammadonna stopped me, smiled broadly and said repeatedly that she liked my interview very much, even slapping my shoulder in a friendly & encouraging way.

Where did I go wrong? I thought it was a hard-hitting piece of intrepid investigative journalism, full of stinging irony & sarcasm, revealing the inner machinations of local politics, the secret personality of a local mover & shaker, probably causing her never to speak to me again! But she actually LIKED it! I'll have to try harder and meaner next time...

She even encouraged the Lamma-zine readers to contact her directly in person in her office or on the phone (2982 0976) for any problems or suggestions they might have!
Accountable and responsive governance on Lamma? Now I'm truly shocked!

Oh well... maybe Lammadonna is being polite, or maybe she does have the wicked sense of humour to appreciate the article

What I liked about the article is that I found out a bit about Lammadonna the person and her life... as oppose to just information on the poster girl... oh wait, I mean politician
