Well, Lamma.net was a former website of a Lammaite who has died not long ago.
It's been a link spam website for most of the last ten years since it was shut down, after serving as a soapbox for an unorthodox anthropological theory for a few years.
So this domain is up for sale now? I might be interested personally if it's low-cost. But it hardly gets any traffic anymore, after almost ten years of total inactivity.
There are several other Lamma.xxx domains, all very low-key or inactive. Several are run by friends of mine, but you might never heard of any of these sites. I've linked them, like all Lamma-related sites I know about (email me with your site!), in my
Lamma Links page.
In general, it's not the domain name that makes a site successful, but all the effort you put into regularly updated, interesting content and all the on- and offline marketing/promotion/advertising you have to do for it. It took me years to make this site #1 for Lamma Island in all major search engines and attract 4.5 million hits/month.
I'm always looking for people to help out and make it even more successful (moderators, writers, photographers, designers, programmers, correspondents)!
If you have a great idea, for example something your link neighborgoods.net above, let's discuss teaming up!
