Has Herb Land closed? Every time I pass it now it says closed.

Yes, organic herbs & vegetables and plants and teas and.... Just go to Hung Shing Yeh beach, walk beyond the beach and there they are, open 7 days per week. They don't have a website anymore, but a Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/herboland The Just Green shop on Main Street (just before Bookworm Cafe) is also selling their veggies. |

Thank you for your reply, Lamma Gung! Besides, do you know whether there is something like Community Supported Agriculture or not? That means a group of families or individuals purchases the produce and goods together at a place regularly, which allows them to save money and socilaize. |

Community Supported Agriculture? There are almost no commercial farms left on Lamma, just private gardens. The farmer in the Yung Shue Long valley is selling his produce directly to passersby or on Main Street in the mornings. Ask around, some of them have harvests too big for their families and might be eager to sell some or even give it away for free to friends. Ask in Just Green for veggie group purchases brought in from HK Island, grown on regular or organic farms in the New Territories, or even imported. Just Green should have contacts. There's also the Tai Peng Community Garden, a social group of hobby farmers growing their own veggies and flowers in a shared, rented plot up in Tai Peng Village, not far from the Regent store.
