Yes, it is still in operation. If you pass by and look at its current condition you might be forgiven for thinking that it has been abandoned, but that is what happens in summer. With sumer leave, heat, humidity and mosquitos, the place tends to get overgrown. however, we will meet again later this month and get the ball rolling again. New members are welcome and there are small plots available fr cultivation, as well as sharing in the communal flower-growing areas

Hi Zep,

How exactly do we get involved? My friend and I are both interested in the community garden. How can we apply for plots? Would love to hear more.

Our family passed by the garden today on the way to the windmill and oh we were SO impressed by this!! Whoever builds this is a genius, and I want to thank him/her for bringing smiles to those who pass by :thumb-up:

Chris is our Genius in Residence for 2014. You might have noticed that the flower beds have been weeded again too, so the new season has begun. You know that the summer days are numbered when the TV is flooded with mooncake adverts

So when's the next potluck lunch in the garden? With moon cakes, of course!

My own gardening efforts have been downsized dramatically to 2 balcony MicroGardens from my former Rooftop Jungle.

But I just found some white mushrooms growing in there this morning. Does this mean I'm watering too much? ;-)

It's so wet at the moment fungi are growing all over the place, including the walls.

Here are one or two pictures from the recently weeded community garden front flower bed, mainly different varieties of Portulaca, as well as the tall blue Ruellia and a new pale yellow water lily
