Email from Jacqueline:

Following a recent move I have had to pot up many plants and shrubs to be able to keep them on a terrace instead of growing them in the ground.

The terrace is very sunny and I am concerned that the plants might suffer in the pots (most of them made out of plastic but some terracotta or china).

I would be grateful for any tips you may have.

Try insulating the pots.
