Foxy! :coffee:

Your price has been waiting the longest as you're ALWAYS turning it down, saying "Later, later!" when I meet you somewhere in a bar (where I rarely can afford to hang out these days).
I've offered you the free drinks right then and there in the bar several times and you always postpone them! Anytime, anywhere in Yung Shue Wan, just make up your mind where and when!

Yes, the pictures were taken quite close to my flat...

I think you live in that beautiful, free-standing rooftop flat with each room a different colour, near the Bookworm Café, correct? We were looking at it - just before you signed up - we loved it, but we couldn't afford the place, unfortunately...
Let me know if you ever plan to move...

So how about a yellow card for Brenda for a personal attack on poor Pierre?

My dear Mr Senecio, you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick entirely. Far from attacking Pierre, I am defending him, and attempting to understand the origin of his foul and pathetic deeds by looking at his home background. I’m not sure if he is one of my subjects (his name sounds suspiciously foreign) but I am constantly exposed to heart-rending stories from London’s criminal classes of promising young people whose lives are irrevocably destroyed by a family environment involving drink, drugs and a disregard for the law. Often people in these circumstances resort to smearing faeces as their only means of expression.

Pierre’s metaphorical web-based feaces-smearing may be the product of just such an upbringing. As a foreigner, he may also try to plead different standards of hygiene and morality in mitigation. One cannot, of course, condone his repulsive actions, but one can try to understand the circumstances in which they arose.

Beg your pardon, Your Majesty. As a loyal subject, and artist, the image in question is my submission for the Turner Prize this year. Wish me luck!

Foxy,

I'm frankly tired of your public sniping about these drinks which I've never ever delayed in paying for you. I'm very very deeply sorry for not frequenting the same bars as you and ever meeting you in the right mood for a few more drinks! You won the prize by pure chance for posting a message and didn't have to do anything to win. But since them you've been sniping at me publicly and privately several times, even jumping into unrelated forums just to snipe at me, implying my dishonesty and trying to make me lose face in public.

Please email me your bank account number right away and I'll transfer $100 to your account, to settle this matter once and for all and I hope this is the last thing I hear about this matter from you.

I'll make sure to keep reminding myself to hand out less prizes from now on, even though you're definitely the only one complaining.

As ususal with prizes I hand out in the forums occasionally and in the Lamma-zine in EVERY issue, they can be claimed anytime, anywhere and I tell the winners so. But I can't run after each winner, begging them to accept the prize ASAP, even when they're busy, on vacation or not in the right mood.

Let me assure every future winner that they'll receive their prizes anytime they like, at their own convenience. I'll try to make it small cash prizes as food/drink prizes often seem too much hassle, especially with bar "regulars".

Sniping when? Perish the thought - I have nothing but respect for you and your work. I think you're mistaking me for someone else.

Judging by the quality of recent entries, you may well win. However, I think I'll stick to my private collection of Constables, Turners etc, as well as my most recent gallery of prints (pinched from the Internet) entitled "Lamma at night."

Perhaps if you all got jobs instead of pretending to be photographers, you could all live where you wanted and wouldn't care who's round it was.

Guy - I like your powerstation shot. Did you use a blue filter, or was it just a very unusual light that evening?

Guy Mlller {L_WROTE}:
The picture was taken in Dawn/Dusk Mode

Filter? Dawn/dusk mode? Photoshop turned up to 11, more like.

Photoshop is a wonderful thing, but it surely pays if the end result bears some relationship to reality (at least in a shot like this).

Couple more, sunset mode, "uncolour tweaked" powerstation pics (sorry about butterfly in mid-ground)- although I feel that if these & the "blue" were colour tweaked they would be better.

Besides - who wants a pic of the powerstation anyway? Wouldn't it be better in some cases to present a visually attractive image.

Am very new at this & have only been taking photos for about 2 months, so don't really know how to colour tweak effectively yet or take decent pics either for that matter.
