No worry, e, there's space for hundreds of years left. As you won't have to worry about this yourself for more than half a century, there'll still be ample room left. 23 niches have been used so far in 15 years (see photo) and hundreds more are available (see 2nd photo).

Actually, I kind of like the area myself - just after the Youth Hostel, on the path to Luk Chau, maybe 45 minutes walk from YSW - and would consider to have my own ashes deposited there someday. Like Mr Balke - heart attack at 51 - this is always a possibility, even for a clean-living Lammaite like myself. I've still got quite a number of years left till I'll turn 51, so I better start preparing!

What would be a good epitaph for my own niche in the Lamma Garden of Remembrance? Possible suggestions could come from what other Lammaites have called me in these forums and on other public websites before:

Here lies Lamma-Gung,

"the Self-Styled Online Voice of Yung Shue Wan" (Fortune Chan)
"le reporter photographe chroniqueur de l'ile" (Hapifiou)
"it's embarassing to live on the same Island as this writer!" (HKMacs)
who "created a sort of virtual in-crowd on Lamma.com.hk" (Beanburglar)
still "Loitering with Intent to Commit an Arrestable Offence" (Lamma Police.
OK, I made this one up by quoting from their recent press release)

or, short and sweet:
"stupid fat bastard!" (V J)

Anybody got some other good epitaphs for me?

Re: the LFD gallery: You should be happy that I finally made some time today to finish up a few photo galleries. After completing another two photo galleries today (Christmas Tree Huggers, also a little little bit delayed, and last Sunday's "Boundless Love & Peace" Carnival), this means that I'll soon get to complete the biggest gallery of them all: the LFD...

Just one or two more small ones first...

Really got up to speed with photo galleries since starting to use Picasa recently as my photo database & processing program. Amazing piece of software and totally free from Google...
