Very nice story L-B........., shame it didn't have a happy ending for the dragonfly. It's probably being swept up as we post.
I was posed the very same problem only yesterday....... I picked up the dragonfly & put it out the window. It merrily flew on its way.

Had another today........... a damselfly (a seemingly more delicate creature). Only this time it came into my hide.
Like you, I seized the opportunity & took a couple of photos. Then picked it up & put it outside to freedom. The little lass is pictured below.
Besides we want dragons & damsels to live........, they eat mosquitoes !!!

Photo was taken in Yung She Long valley which has a wealth of animal & plant life with it's year round waterflow. The variety of birds, bugs & plants is amazing. I'll see if I can get a few pics over the coming weeks.

(and in case you are wondering about the image.......... yes, I camouflage the inside of the hide..... not the outside !!........ It's far simpler  )

BTW L-B, very nice pictures, better than I ever took when I had the same model camera. Maybe we can see some more bugs from you :)

Well, there are a lot of funny but weird, bug-eyed creatures swarming seemingly randomly all over Main Street today, bumping into locals and each other:

TOURISTS!

It's safer to stay indoors today...

Well, OK, if you insist, how could I resist such friendly encouragment from our Lamma Wildlife Photographer Extraordinaire, our Official Court Bird-o-grapher!
Here's a really weird bug I shot Saturday night in the football pitch, a red-and-blue, semi-transparent spider!

Harry, wow, you're the fastest member ever to use up his 1.5MB quota limit for uploads! A new record and so many great pictures already!

As I've just bought more hard disk space on the host, I can give you more upload space. You've been upgraded to 5MB (not more than 100KB per image).

But now we want to seee even more different and interesting pictures from you!
