I have received some very nice recommendations from friendly residents in Lamma. They said we should improve our music at the cafe as the current one makes people feel too relax and....sleepy >.~

Please help to recommend some music that are suitable to play for a restaurant at the beach!!!

At a restaurant, I'd much rather listen to something jazzy/funky than pop or rap music. There are a couple places I've been to where I really liked the music. I could listen to it and enjoy it or I could just as easily tune it out and focus on conversation.

Those places were Deli & Wine in TST (by the cultural centre), and Singing Bean at the Macau Tower.

Personally I think Miles Davis is a pretty safe bet.

I heard Francine Roche being played in cafe once and thought it was pretty cute but maybe too strong of a statement.
