Please let me know if any of the info below is outdated, wrong or incomplete. Thanks!Stepping right off any ferry arriving at Lamma Island you can see ads and shop fronts from different guesthouses (
"holiday resorts"), for example more than 5 guesthouses advertising along Yung Shue Wan Main Street. All property agents usually have rooms available on week days. Weekends/holidays are busiest and much more expensive.
There are many places to stay for reasonable rates, from around US$50-100/night in a little guesthouse to over US$300 in our two "hotels/resorts".
Most of these places have special rates for longer stays, by the week or month.
Almost none of the Lamma guesthouses promote or advertise on the Internet at all and don’t have active websites, Facebook pages or any form of online reservations. Email forms or plain email or phone calls are the usual way to reserve and some advance payment or a credit card are usually requested.
Call them directly, if convenient, as some of them might not reply at all to their listed email addresses or replies take several days, especially for English enquiries.
