Many thanks to whoever built that. Should keep those guys warm in this cold weather. Really hoping it doesn't get taken down like the last one.

Blends in well with this trashy island, I wouldn't mind seeing a permanent one though

Dear e,

Could you tell us a bit more about this cat castle, please. How long has it been up? Private initiative or pet charity project?

Did the cleaners just do their regular job or were they instructed to remove this perceived "eyesore" by their Govt. Dept.'s bosses or our powers-that-be?

It should be possible to find a private, non-public or at least a less public location for this where the cleaners couldn't or wouldn't touch it?

Sorry, Gung-gung, I have no answer to your questions. The shelters for the cats a that location change now and then. I have no idea who built those and who tore them down. Several bikes were parked there before, and some obviously just left there to rot. They were all removed a while ago. So I guess its a LCSD clean-up

All of the cats that hang out there (mainly white) belong to the 'shop' behind the boxes. The shop in the corner next to 7th Avenue where people sit outside at night imbibing.

The cats belong to the family and mainly the son of the family. For many years the cats were unsterilized, but apprently the local animal organisation convinced them to let them take the cats to be desexed.

If the boxes have gone.. new ones will be back soon. They will continue to have food and boxes in the future IMHO.
