I was glad to see the article on the blog regarding HKE and their tidy-up efforts after the candle melting weekend, though I think it is a shame that they need to tidy up at all.
I just find it a bit hypocritical that they are seking attention for doing that but yesterday when I was up at the windmill I was faced with a real mess. It stemmed from the blue and white striped plastic sheets they draped over the fence (why?) which had been flogged by the strong winds over the weekend. There were bits of the plastic sheeting caught in bushes on both sides of the cable path and anyone's guess as to how much blew straight over the top of the hill and into trees, streams, drains etc.
And while I'm having a poke, will they be removing that hideous lump of poured concrete which is on the corner of the hill on the cable path or will it remain there like so many of the other piles of cement dumped around the place by HKE when they have been doing projects around the island?
