Stage 2 of the "Public Engagement" has started recently, 1st public forum happening today in NT.
The idea of the artificial, reclaimed island somewhere between Lamma, HK and Lantau Island, larger in size than all of Lamma Island, has survived Stage 1 and is being proposed now in the Stage 2 consultation as "Artificial Islands".
Quoting from the brochure below (see map above):
"The central waters of Hong Kong (waters between Lantau and HK Island) has been identified as having good opportunity for artificial islands. Artificial islands have greater flexibility in planning and and can avoid encroaching on natural shoreline of high ecological value. They can be developed as new development areas in the long term..."
We'll get a "Roving Exhibition" at the YSW ferry pier from May 16-19
