Dear All I would like to ask if anyone knows what is happening to the tree referenced in the subject heading. I remember that there was a discussion sometime ago about the developer doing some work to protect this tree. Well having passed again today I see the tree looking as close to death as a tree could possibly look and where before there was a big hole to allow water to get to the tree there now seems to be a timber deck doing the complete opposite and no knowing what is going on below that deck. I have a couple of questions if anyone has any answers I would be grateful: 1. Does anyone know if the developer of this property has anyone credible working on the protection of the tree. 2. Is it illegal to actively allow a tree to die particularly if the tree is a protected species in HK , regardless of whether the tree is on private land and if so which department would be responsible. |
