Poster submitted by Daniel via Facebook.

11m for a small plot of now empty, overgrown land, plus the "ding" right to build a Village House.
The building shown below is just an "artist's impression".

The location looks like the new, empty plot being cleared right now besides The Bay Rest. in Mo Tat Wan, just behind the public tourist promenade along the beach.

The owner seems to have been trying to sell it for quite some time now, including the "ding" right for $10m. No buyer for a long time, so increase the price, that's the logic of some locals.
Anybody knows who the Sole Agent is?

I've got photos of the empty plot being cleared of its former overgrowth recently. Just big enough for a future single house.
There's a steep slope right behind it that the future owner will have to stabilise at their own cost, at huge additional costs, before being allowed to build the house.

Some Asian countries have highly illogical real estate ideas.

Won't sell at 10M so let's raise the price and see if it sells then.

Ironically it might do now. That extra 1M might catch the attention of some shark fin soup eating Mainlander looking for some other than TST to hang out.

They're not that stupid.
No one has nibbled on the Tannery development since it was started over 15 years ago.
That's finished, has great sea views,a pier, and has a ferry nearby (though not nearby enough for those used to chauffeured limos).

They might be buying up on Lantau because it's close to the airport and Zhuhai bridge.
