They're the people doing the Anti-reclamation campaign, see <a href="http://www.savelamma.org/">savelamma.org</a>. hi may, bobsy here. yes it has been a while since we last spoke. it was around earth day 2000 when you wrote that fantastic upbeat song for the earth day festival. yes ABLE CHARITY is still around and active. mainly planting trees in the newly emerging "lamma forest" on the hills north of po wah yuen and south of pak kok. 15,000 trees to date and counting in one area... a big difference to the hills and one day a forest for future generations!! we are also involved in the campaign to save yung shue wan from the proposed reclamation and have put forward an alternative plan which the government is currently reviewing. quite encouraging indeed. times are changing. you can still contact me on the same numbers. hope all is well with you and growing family. i also hope you have more time now to start writing some beautiful songs again. much love xxx |

Hello Bobsy, How come we hear so little about ABLE here on Lamma? The other good charities are very good at promoting their causes, just look at LAP or the Fun Day! If you need more helpers, goods, even cash, let people know! A good (and free) place to start promoting ABLE a bit more is this website! Let us know what you're up to, what you need and how the members & readers of Lamma.com.hk (almost all living on Lamma) can support your great cause! |
