greetings one and all,

just to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who came tree planting last Satuday and helped manifest another successful tree day on our beautiful hills...
you will be happy to know that another 500 trees have joined the growing family of the 15,000 trees planted since 1997...

due to sars the groups that had been scheduled to do the planting pulled out and that left the whole task to be completed by lamma people (not since 1998)...so well done!

Nice story on the Tree Planting Day in yesterday's SCM Post:
"Volunteers add 600 trees to Lamma's growing forest". 8)

I had a Sunday, 5pm deadline to submit a number of photos to the SCMP for this story, on their request, but they didn't use a single one. :cry:
So I just published ALL my photos on Lamma.com.hk! :wink: <HR>
Anybody got a funny story to tell from the Tree Planting Day?

I managed to avoid a sunburn, even though I ventured up the hill, being stupid and over-confident, without any protection or sun screen. Except in one small spot at the very top of my head! It hurts now whenever I wash my hair! :oops:

No ABLE website yet, but soon. It's in progress right now. Check back in a few weeks.

We'll promote and support the future ABLE website here on Lamma.com.hk, of course. We do this for all new Lamma-related websites, even commercial ones, but especially non-profits, good causes & charities...
