Hi, do you happen to know a good plumber on Lamma who speaks some basic English? I may need to replace the toilet bowl in my flat because of leaks.
Thanks a lot!

pit {L_WROTE}:
I recall seeing a reference to a plumber here a year or so ago and I believe it was Tintin from Pets Community who passed it on so I'd just ask her.

yes, you are correct. That was Mr. Lui, who is very good but last year we had to rely on an interpreter. For a bigger job now i need someone who speaks some English. Luckily i have found a contractor who can do the job. The problem will be solved soon, i hope.

The owner of the 'pipe/DIY shop' in the main street (opposite the former Brothers shop) has all the 'plumbing pipes' etc..... and his English is good enough.

He may not be able to do the plumbing himself, but would obviously know someone who can. He seems lazy sometimes though,... not really interested in 'small jobs'.

I have a cool Chinese Handyman whom I call in times of need..... limited English, but professional and he always gets the job done if I explain what is needed. Send me a PM.
