Wow! Congratulations - a new first for Lamma for photographing this species as far as I know. Word is getting out that your sauna is the place to hang out.

mmm..... is a first for me also.
Both are hanging around the garden for most of the day, but at no particular time.
If you want you can pop up & hang out for the chance of a sighting or photo.

Quite a few small flocks of white-winged starlings flying around in Tai Peng at the moment. This party obligingly alighted on the neighbours TV ariel.

Bird photo submitted by DJ Spicer (also currently on the home page's WILDLIFE OF THE DAY with a Besra photo).

I've seen this bird in this forum before, what is its name again?

Yes, check out his new website, with many great Lamma bird photos, but no names yet, unfortunately:

I think is a juvenile Crested Goshawk.
Is almost always around the garden...., which probably explains why there aren't any other birds hanging out....

Finally a bit of action in my pond area..... about 30 Japanese White-eyes came in to bathe, a dozen sparrows, half a dozen Chinese Bulbuls, about 20 Red-whiskered Bulbul & a single Yellow-browed Warbler.

As per usual...... the first thrush of the season to visit my garden is a Rufous-tailed Robin. With luck he/she will be a daily visitor for the next 5 or so months together with a mate.

Nice one - just seen the white-eyes jumping around too - nicely put together. Haven't seen much so far this autumn.

Hi Zep.... good to see you are around also.
Is just starting to liven up a little.....

Down in the valley about 2 weeks ago was a Red Turtle Dove, a Cattle Egret, about 6 Sooty-headed Bulbuls, 3 Black Drongos. Also Old Nog was hangin' out there having a forage round.

Should be time for a birdo breeakfast soon.... my place?

Went over to So Kwu Wan yesterday..... saw a flock of about 50 or so Crested Mynah, and what was most likely a Buttonquail up on the hills.

A shot of the Red Turtle Dove I mentioned from a couple of weeks ago.....
