aardvark {L_WROTE}:
To be paranoid, I think you are mistaken on that one friend. Never underestimate what mass fear will do to human beings, any time, any place. The CR was not a one off, it was just one in a long long series of atrocities committed by all of us, in every place.
Sorry to be neg, but my faith in Human Progress = zero. It is admittedly a melancholy but wise but way to live.
>>> There IS a cultural revolution like uprising in China since 2008..... AGAINST the Reds. Villagers are really getting pissy rising against pit bosses who try to evict them the "ol' pitchfork angry mob with torches attacking Dracula's castle routine". See when some bulldozer "accidently runs over a village elder trying to protect his home, villagers get angry. Or when village elders are elected (small village elections). They get really angry. Village Elders in China tend not to be Lamma Elders (who know the ancient Chinese Zen arts of transfiguration and can disappear in a wisp, like say some district representative, she disappears ALOT when things go rough.
For example, China Smack, China Hush, are youth sites made my youths, that share both a flatering view of the Sino-reality young Chinese live in, and Not so flattering, and the comments they use.... "Oh boyyyyyyy!". For instance one young man went ninja on like 7 cops he was condemned to execution, but public pressure (aka, him being viewed as a Robin hood like person, although that was NOT his intention), they view him as the next Lei Fei! (young dashing hero from romance 3 kingdoms). And they're not friendly messages left behind: There was an elderly man who fought the Japanese and the revolution in his youth, and the very goverenment he fought for kicked him out on his ass to the curb, the frozen curbs of Bejing (Bejing is North, and pretty cold.....),
all the young people posted on China smack was insensitive things like "So what? Who told him to rebel?, maybe he should have listened to Comrade Chang Kai Shek, and other insensitive things like that" just to reflect their anger.
For instance, when Li Guang's Son (A little Chinese emperior), ran over this roller girl, because he was drunk and drove away taunting "Go ahead and sue me, my father is Li Guang". This became a catch phrase, to shed responsibility.
Like there are tonnes of funny jokes against the Reds, similar to how people made fun of Breznev, crappy Communist living, and In Soviet Russia, noun-Verbs you..... jokes. People are P.Oed, and the fact that I can type this stuff on Gung's website, without a bunch of grunts kicking my teeth in, shows just how erroeded the Tal Shiar (Romulan intelligence), or Cardassia's Obsidian Order aka the Jing Jing Cha Cha's (those loveable Chinese cop mascots), powers truly are.
The Reds are running making the Midnight run. A economic crash in Wenzhou, and gee the boss isn't home! And SOMEHOW, there's a increase in population in Singapore housing market..... hmmmmm coincidence? In China, many townships are 400 year in debt, cities lie open, Potemkin cities (fake cities for show). And corporations are deciding to call quits and cash in on thier loses for 10 years of imaginary GDP growth, as other BRICS countries. And China OWES the Euro.
And the media there can't control everything. Heck I even JOINED, "Defeat Communism" website and a pro Tibet website IN CHINA. Lol.
Now the BIG question is...... What about Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan? Do these places assume succession for survival as China implodes, and will China's implosion involve alot of typical chaos *bending of grass, where succesionists like Tibet, Ugyghristan, Manchuria, Outer Mongolia, seperate? And the BIG BIG question.... who will feed the Kim family? Those big fat behemoths? The next 10 years is NOT going to be pretty. People see Chinese stocks, as lies (not because they're Chinese, but a dictatorship runs these companies. It's like when Suharto screwed over Calgarians-world (I was in there for that, the Bre-X Busang mine scandal). This is like Enron, EXACTLY like Enron. If I was you guys I'd head down to HSBC right now get some cheap ass silver.
China will always be China (just smaller if succession happens. and honestly I'm very very curious to see what form Hong Kong will take?) It's larger than Singapore, they seem to be doing all right as a separate country. Seeing that I hold HK Citizenship... I think. My dad gave it up to be Canadian, so oddly HK government let me have it.
And when the CCP does eventually implode, what form will China take? a democracy, or semi functioning democracy like the likes of Burma (don't rock the boat, it's good enough they're slowly trusting democratic process, like don't rock Cambodia's boat).
What would North and South Korea's inevitable reunion resemble? Would it be a simple matter of rolling up the barbed wire between no man's land...
