VICTOR MELDREW {L_WROTE}:
This is my 50th post, do I get my star now?

Sorry, due to inflation the stars have been revalued at 100 posts. The recent custom of splitting a single paragraph into several one-line posts makes the figures even less indicative of "contribution" than before.

It's even sillier that people respond to their own posts of a minute earlier to correct a typo. That's what the EDIT button next to your posts is for. (Not speaking to you Victor.)

I think the picture has been taken from inside the basket on front of a bicycle

This is my 50th post, do I get my star now?

Sorry, no star yet! As Alan said, due to serious inflation you only get one star per 100 posts, not for 50 anymore like before.
50 more to your first post. If you post like Guy, this should only take a day or so...

Your guess above is correct, Victor! You got half the answer now.
But WHERE is the bicycle located? Quite obvious from the view through the basket...

Correctamundo, cara signorina Gargoyle!

You win a bicycle with wire basket of your own choice! As does Victor for coming up with the first half of the answer.

You two can each choose any bicycle you like along the ferry pier, but don't forget to take a cable cutter with you when you go to pick it up. Make sure no policemen are around, as they might be jealous of your nice price and cause you trouble...

We're still looking for the location of the tree house fire station or whatever it is that Ah-Pong is building these days. Somebody should take another photo as the construction might have progressed quite a bit by now.

Next photo, also just a few days old.

Stump of the "dangerous tree" cut down next to the public toilet.

Correct.
The officially stated reason for cutting down this tree outside the Bali Resort was to give the emergency vehicles more space to turn. But they cut the tree several inches above the ground, so a vehicle can still not drive on that spot. Kind of invalidates the official reason totally...

Is it in the garden of the first house of the two that are on the left as you walk up Tai Ping hill? They’re on the flat bit before the real hill starts.

You're all quite cold so far. It's in a pretty large flat area, all lawn, surrounded by tall trees and it's NOT in a private home or garden...

Actually, its my toilet/jacuzzi combination. It's very difficult to keep clean but of course, they don't tell you that in the showroom.

Beanburglar {L_WROTE}:
Actually, its my toilet/jacuzzi combination. It's very difficult to keep clean but of course, they don't tell you that in the showroom.

Difficult to clean? But it sounds so easy in the official user's manual of the "Jacuzzi"TM company:

Ordinary maintenace operations - Cleaning the suction inlet (Fig. 21):

Use a Phillips screwdriver to undo the screw (K) and remove the cover (H) on the inlet. Then detach the spring clip from the pin so as to be able to free the hatch from the hermetic closure.

Simply using your fingers on the fins, or with the aid of the conical wrench (P) provided (in the accessory kit), remove the ring (N) and the nozzle (L). To release the ring from the outlet, turn it fully anticlockwise, the grasp the nozzle and pull it out firmly.

Clean the entire space with a strong jet from the shower head using, if necessary, a little liquid soap; then use a brush to carefully clean the hatch gasket and remove any residues froim the three holes on the valve located on the base.

Re-attach the spring and then refit the cover (H) with the O-ring (J) towards the inside, firmly located into its housing.

See how easy it is to clean a JacuzziTM? But why do I have a printed JacuzziTM user's manual you might ask, as I definitely can't afford one myself?

Well, I'm trying to sell a beautiful, top-of-the-line, free-standing, 2nd-hand, 1-year-old, rarely-used, original-brand "Jacuzzi"TM for a friend on commission.

Anybody interested, contact me, please! New photo below.

{End of shameless commercial break}

Just received a new photo of the tree house progress: Thanks to the anonymous contributor who's really quite a nice guy!

More photos will be most welcome as the tree house construction progresses, one of the many local engineering projects, but a great example of sustainable development using recyclable materials, a human scale, simple & manually-powered engineering techniques, ecological & economical constructive methosd used in this most creative & unique design. No fancy computer-assisted design here! This would make a great study object for architecture students...

It might be pedantic, but a "tree house" actually has to be in a tree, not on a concrete slab next to one.
