Interesting shots, especially the Power Station.

A small, collapsible, portable tripod makes such a huge difference for night shots, enabling several seconds of exposure time and really glowing, brilliant, detailed night colours, especially with a digicam's Night shooting mode.

There are very few good night photos of Lamma I've seen so far. Anybody got more?

The moon-lighting is in fact tomorrow night, when we all feed the hungry goats. But be warned, there's MURDER in the air.................

Looking for night pictures of the Mid-autumn festival tomorrow!

Best pictures will be published in the Lamma-zine and will win a free dinner in any restaurant in Yung Shue Wan!

volley, a night MURDER picture might have a great chance in this contest! Candid photos from the Full Moon party would be most welcome as well!

A little sample from my Hung Shing Yeh pictures last year:
Mid-Autumn Festival 2003

I'm sure YOU can shoot much better ones. Show us!

So, who's got good pictures of the Mid-autumn festival on Lamma this week and wants to win the prize?

I think Pierre is really that Canadian Marcus dude, who is also a photographer.

Guy - I like your powerstation shot. Did you use a blue filter, or was it just a very unusual light that evening?

Thank you.
The picture was taken in Dawn/Dusk Mode - attached is a photo taken a few minutes earlier in "Normal" Mode.
The pictures were taken at about 5 am with a lot of mist about.

Thank you for removing that gratuitously offensive piece of scatology from "Pierre" to Fight Club. It has no place in a civilised forum. One wonders what sort of homes these people come from.

Well, not a single picture has been submitted - as expected - so no free dinner can be awarded. I was serious about the prize.

My own Mid-autumn photo gallery is almost ready...

But I guess it wont earn me a dinner.
Note the little white spot in the upper right corner - the moon ... maybe.

Yes, Alexanku, it looks like the Mid-autumn moon.
I'd say, good enough for a drink or two, even though the contest is closed already.

Here are two of my own moon-gazing close-ups, plus two more previews from my new Mid-autumn photo gallery.

Just a thought, but if you "advertised" it in the Blog, you may have got more of a response - get the feeling readers view the forum as sorta like a club (which it isn't).
I would have participated, but it coincided with my plans to watch the "Wayne Rooney Show"

So how about a yellow card for Brenda for a personal attack on poor Pierre?

LG - Is this one of those virtual prizes like the one I won in September last year for post # 10,000 and still haven't seen? It might explain the lack of interest.
