After the stormy night, I found half a dozen of these bugs on my rooftop, seeking protection on a waterproof-fabric wardrobe.

Pretty red eyes, about 2-3mm (1/10") long. Sorry, that's the best shot I could get, as I don't have a macro-capable lens yet. Any idea what these might be?

I also wonder what these bugs eat? Should I worry?

Have a habit of laying a cluster of green eggs on clothing etc.
Eat vegetation.......... so yr wardrobe content is safe.

A cluster of green eggs on my clothing? You call that "safe"?

Does that mean I should only store green clothing in that wardrobe from now on, to be on the safe side, colour-wise?

I think Guy's right about the stink bugs. They look like the larva of those brown beetles with white undersides that smell of bitter almonds if you pick them up. The good news is they only lay eggs on your clothes etc if you hang them outside.

Here's a picture of a clutch just hatching, taken this afternoon.

How is that "good news"?

I have to scrape the damn green eggs off my laundry for six months of the year. If I miss a clutch, I have a brood of bugs in my underwear.

It's good news because they don't come in and lay eggs on your bed, furniture, and your clothes. I suggest you change your underwear immediately.

All of this sounds like a great advert for the local laundries:

"Avoid stink bugs in your underwear when drying your laundy outside!
Get your laundry done professionally by us!"

I'm already following their advice. Who's got time to do laundry themselves, in-between enjoying Lamma life, meeting friends, testing restaurants, relaxing, posting messages,...

I think I've just seen the mummy of the stink Lychee Stink Bugs above. She came back to lay more eggs, maybe. Taken this morning on my rooftop's wooden table, a bit over an inch long. These guy could even crawl upside-down on the underside of the table, slow and very cautioulsy.

Fortunately there's never any laundry on my rooftop, but the last brood came from a clutch of white eggs laid on the outside of one of these very popular, cheap, self-assembled, waterproof-cloth wardrobes.
