Last weekend I had the pleasure of partaking of the Full English Breakfast at the Waterfront, only to find to my shock and horror, that it had been invaded - by a German sausage, thoughts of World War II and in particular the Blitz flashed through my mind.

Strangely enough the damned thing, normally grossly oversixed and phallic, looked like it had been sliced assunder by a bayonet. It remained uneaten - as this weiner stuff is particularly gross and repulsive to the delicate English pallette.

I would like to ask the owners of the Waterfront, all who are English, just what the hell do they think they are doing. Have they become collaborators with the Bosch? are they going to Sauerkraut the salad?

Lets have an answer.

If you can't get the English Breakfast right what hope do you have as a restaurant?? You are doomed.

And the coffee still sucks, it will until you relace the stupid instant coffee machine.

Not being German myself, but having grown up with their delicious sausages, all I can say is:

Deutsche Bratwürste sind die besten in ganz Europa! Ü%Öä@*^ö$ühäö!!

Hey, did you have the full English or the Breakdown Brekky?

The Breakdown has a sausage of the kind you mention, simply cos so many people like them (and don't like English sausages).

And btw, some of us actually LIKE the coffee. I know they thought about replacing the coffee machine but they decided not to because it was quite popular. I didn't know it was instant coffee anyway.

Try the Latte.

I thought that the Waterfront's automated coffee machine used beans that it self-ground to make a brew. Agree though that it tastes somewhat like instant, unless it is smothered with mik. :coffee:

A quick search on Google confirmed for me that an English sausage should more properly be described as an 'emulsified high-fat offal tube'. German sausages actually have meat in them.

Still if its what you were weaned on .....

Engish Pork Sausages are made of pork.

German sausages appear to be some sort of rubber mixed with meat possibly.

But regardless you misunderstood the issue which is putting a German sausage in an English breakfast.
